As you should know it is award season all over the place in sport, literature, cinema and video games all giveing out their best of blank stuff I always love this time of year as it shows what things they believe to be good this year and I then go out an buy and experience it myself. A lot of speculation is flying and nominations are rolling out preparing for their balls and event shows but I think of it as a great time to look back on the year and the accomplishments we have achieved.
In the year of 2011 Australia started it with fires and floods, deaths and stories it was stinking hot and a lot of talking to each other as we had no power then the rivers receded and we all headed back to work and school with our stories in hand. The autumn came around with the games that were not ready for Christmas now without a great holiday deadline left to finish their works with the animes of Madoka and Stein's gate with smash hit movie Paul ok ok sucker punch also here all of you would agree Game of Thrones Sean bean may of died again like he always does but he is good at it.
As the cold harsh winter fell wait I live in Brisbane our winter is an England summer as the slightly less hot winter hit so did the steam sales which breathed life into my gaming library with new Vegas with so many dlc packs and the indie game Bastion around this time I also started my reviewing of games on this blog. While discovering Archer the Adventure bros and Bob's burgers all great cartoon's with the voice acting skills of H. Jon Benjamin also in cartoons Batman/superman: Apocalypse came out with under the red hood: batman also hear saying good bye forever Harry Potter 7 part 2 to think over 10 years ago they first hit the big screen and i was there with my scout pack good times.
Now time is catching up to us with the tv shows and video games and movies all fighting to get top dog we can only wonder who will win to say this was a big year for gaming is an understatement so many AAA games came out mid November it was INSANE!!! not to mention all cool Movembers around. I know will never for get how intense Breaking Bad was this season as well as the ending of Batman Arkham city with is fully Taboo for some reason. Comics went through a great change as well they reset all DC character back to null to reinvent themselves again this is going to stick (yer right) which brings us to Zelda and Skyrim fighting for our souls wait I am thinking of CoD MW3 and BF 3 my bad guys.
This year was great and life is great lets hope the world does not end in 2012 you crazy Mayans' all the best next for the rest of this year peace guys hope you have a good holiday break you deserve it.
