ChronoBlade a Facebook Game

Stieg Hedlund the lead designer of Diablo goes to work on a new game and guess what it is F2P not only that it is on FACEBOOK do not let that get you down this is a fantastic game and if it gains support and money it could become something of a legend. using 2D isometric brawler gameplay with RPG elements from Diablo including skill trees, crafting and combos, while all being a flash/java based game.

What truly makes this a game that should not be missed this year is the combat system using all the variety you would expect from a final fight game including lifters, air-combos and finishing moves which rewards for making the longest combo you can possibly imagine by giving you a huge explosion for a finishing move. Yet with every bright light must come a shadow this game suffers from an appalling amount of loading screens cutting your immersion just after killing 40 guys with a 100 combo and a sweet explosion, most notably in the crafting menu whenever you smelt an item for crafting material it lags for a good 2-3 seconds and when you are doing that for over 10-15 items it gets old fast. Then there are the combo drops, which happen from aoe clouds of damage that do not stagger your character at all yet they ruin your combo and if you wait for it to disperse you will drop the combo from taking to long to hit a enemy.

Even with all this the guys at nWay games with lead designer Jordan Patz have done a fantastic job given the limitations provided by a flash based interface I look forward to more updates of this game maybe even a stand alone game not restricted by facebook with better performance give it about circle out of T-intersection on the Bruce highway.
